Scar & Ko is a family-run business based in Perth, WA. We value ethical production and fair trade, which gives us comfort in knowing that our products are helping communities in regions of India where employment for women in particular is low.

When you purchase from Scar & Ko you are also contributing toward a healthy planet. The production process with our products is environmentally friendly.

You are also contributing to the Restoring Australia initiative in which our packaging supplier will plant 2 trees for every 1 used. Our shipping service provider is the first and only 100% carbon-neutral shipping service. To achieve this, they use fuel efficient shipping methods and offset the remaining CO2 produced through conservation, regeneration, and community initiatives. We ensure that deliveries have a net carbon footprint of zero.

100% ETHICALLY HANDCRAFTED

Each Scar & Ko piece is ethically sourced and meticulously hand-stitched by the artisans of Jaipur, India. The special technique used comes with rich tradition which can be traced back to the Fifth Century B.C.

ECO-FRIENDLY ART FORM

The designs that you see on Scar & Ko pieces are created with individual, hand-carved wooden blocks. The artisans carve each design into the blocks. This process can take several hours, or even days depending on the detail in the design.

NON-TOXIC PRINT DYE

Every print is hand blocked using an eco-friendly, non-toxic vegetable dye. This means no synthetics are used which can cause skin irritation. This process requires precison, skill and patience, giving Scar & Ko pieces thier individaulistic charm.
